Annual Fundraiser

For 41 years, The Nicolaysen Art Museum's Annual Fundraiser has brought our community together in support of the arts in Wyoming and the Rocky Mountain Region. As The NIC's largest fundraising event of the year, this celebration helps provide the resources needed to bring exhibitions, educational programs, and community experiences to our community.
​
This year's theme Canvas of Curiosities is inspired by the wondrous art of Jim Kopp. The celebration begins with the Soirée on Wednesday, a community art party filled with music, food, drinks, and a chance for everyone to join in the celebration. The week culminates with the Gala on Friday, an elevated evening featuring a plated dinner, performers, live painting, exclusive art auction, and the presentation of this year's honorees.

During the Gala, The NIC will honor individuals whose dedication and generosity have made a lasting impact. The Above & Beyond Award recognizes a community member who has gone above and beyond in service to The NIC. The Tom West Award celebrates an artist whose exceptional contributions have strengthened The NIC's mission and creative community.
The Soirée

The Soirée is a whimsical community art party, and everyone is invited!
Wear your whimsy and enjoy the Kopp-tastic atmosphere. Spend the evening enjoying charcuterie and beverages, live music, performers, and a silent auction featuring original works by regional artists. It's a casual, lively evening full of opportunities to connect, discover new artists, and the opportunity to enjoy a wondrous night out.
Festive cocktail attire is encouraged, but there is no one way to dress for curiosity. Add a little sparkle, wear something bold, keep it classic and comfy, or find your own way to dazzle.

The Gala

The Gala is an elegant evening celebrating the art community of Wyoming.
Guests will enjoy a curious cocktail hour, live painting, a plated dinner, live music and entertainment, and an exclusive live art auction, all surrounded by décor created by and inspired by local artist Jim Kopp.
Creative black tie attire is encouraged. Shimmer in a dramatic gown, a sharp suit with an unexpected detail, an imaginative costume, or an accessory that tells a story. This is your opportunity to dress with intention, creativity, and a little bit of wonder.
