Find Your Next Art Adventure
The NIC offers art classes for children at different ages and stages. From first-time art experiences to projects that introduce new materials and techniques, our classes give young artists a place to explore their interests and try something new.
Art Play
Ages 2-5 | Third Saturday of the month | 10:30-11:30 AM
Art Play introduces young children to art through hands-on activities. Children can explore materials, develop visual and spatial skills, and learn through making.
Class fee: $10 for NIC members | $15 for nonmembers
Art Club
Kindergarten-5th grade | Second Saturday of the month | 10:30 AM-12:00 PM
Art Club gives elementary-aged students the chance to work with different materials and create projects in both two and three dimensions. Each class offers opportunities to experiment and explore new ways to make art.
Class fee: $10 for NIC members | $15 for nonmembers
Art Studio
6th-10th grade | Second Saturday of the month | 12:30-2:30 PM
Art Studio encourages students to experiment with different art media, develop their skills, and explore their own ideas through art.
Class fee: $15 for NIC members | $20 for nonmembers
Preschool & Homeschool Classes
Preschool Picassos
Ages 2-5 | Wednesdays | 10:30-11:30 AM
Preschool Picassos helps young children develop fine motor skills and express themselves through a variety of art materials and processes. Classes are offered in six-week sessions, with drop-in attendance available when space allows.
Homeschool Art
Wednesdays | Grades K-3: 1:00-2:00 PM | Grades 4-8: 2:00-3:00 PM
Students explore different art materials and techniques while building skills through a variety of projects. Classes also encourage students to share ideas and work through creative challenges together.
Classes are offered in six-week sessions, with drop-in attendance available when space allows.
Six-week session: $50 for NIC members | $75 for nonmembers, per child
Drop-in class: $10 for NIC members | $15 for nonmembers, per child
Art for All Ages
The NIC offers opportunities for people of all ages to explore art, learn new skills, and spend time creating. From adult art classes to programs designed for veterans, there are ways to make art at every stage of life.

Corner Studio is a welcoming space for adults to get together, try something creative, and make art in good company. Whether you're experienced or just getting started, it's a chance to experiment with materials, explore new ideas, and enjoy time making something of your own.
Outside the Lines
Outside the Lines offers veterans a chance to step away from everyday responsibilities and spend time making art. Try different projects, explore new materials, and enjoy the freedom of creating without worrying about getting everything just right. No previous art experience is needed.
