Why do we need your support?
This museum has taken on the enormous task of becoming an accredited member of the American Association of Museums. For the first time in the museum’s history, we are on track for this process which will take several years to complete. Among other things, the entire museum’s art collection must be appraised, the staff must meet criteria set by the AAM, and the building must be brought up to their very high standards.
The cost for this process is in addition to all of our everyday costs and expenses for providing the community and surrounding area access to exciting exhibitions, functions such as the Annual Art Show and Sale in November, and programs like our Discovery Center activities and the Discover Art Summer program.
