Collocated and Unsettled

Linda Foster Leonhard is a Colorado based artist who creates installations that deal with human frailty, feelings, emotions and the human experience.  Starting in 2005, she fell in love with neoprene, a rubber that is used for production and roofing.  The soft, subtle surface is resilient as well as pliable.  Many of her neoprene pieces are altered using powdered pigment, talc and oil pastels.  These unique images invite the viewer to interpret what they see as it relates to their own life.

Linda’s work has been shown in a number of venues including the Ford Gallery in Michigan, at the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art in Colorado, at the Arvada Center in Colorado, at the Flaten Art Museum in Minnesota, at Indiana State University in Terre Haute and at the Fort Collins Museum of Contemporary Art in Colorado.
