A Trip to NY for the Art Fair Week

Well, I didn't think I had the stamina, but I made it through seven straight days of art fairs, galleries, musuem exhibitions and surveys and artist visits, as well as NYC restaurants and theatre. Hard life, right? It was visual saturation on an overwhelming scale but also, a celebration of art on every level, not just aesthetically, but commercially as well. The mother of all art… read more

We are going to mount a retrospective of her body of work in May-August of 2012 at the NIC (opening May 25, 2012). Her studio and home is very remote. She and her husband and horses live in the middle of the prairie. Nothing but the wind, sun, sky and animals for company. It is the greatest pleasure of what I do that I get to enter into artist studios and get a small glimpse of their working process. Tracy… read more
