W.O.W.! There Go The Windows!

Casper- It is unfair to say good-bye without some sort of farewell party. For this reason the Nicolaysen Art Museum and Discovery Center will host a Coming Down Party for the art panels in the Townsend Hotel on Wednesday August 23rd from 5:30 – 7:30 pm in the parking lot on the North side of the Townsend. This is a free Ice Cream Social for everyone. We will have games for children and adults alike with live music and, of course, ice cream! Cold Stone Creamery will be giving away free samples and coupons good for great treats at their new store which has opened on 2nd street. Food and drink also provided by several vendors including BiRite Liquor, Philly Steak Company, and Ed Burgess Concessions. The games we play will include are sure to be wild and awfully wooly. But don’t worry everyone in your family is going to love them! Bring your lawn chair and don’t miss the party! For more information call Deb at 307-235-5247.

If you would like to see each panel up close you can view all of them now via the internet at http://www.thenic.org/events.htm. We’ve put them together for so you can complete a self guided tour. Throughout the summer we will have brochures available at the NIC and at the Townsend which give more information on the project.

Also, mark your calendars for the Wild Wooly Window Wingding, the NIC’s 21st Annual Dinner and Art Auction, on September 30th at 5pm. We will give more detail soon!
